PinPoint Pursuit Update, April 2025

Hi everyone and welcome to the propreantepenultimate update for PinPoint Pursuit, our first trackable race. Since the introduction of the TECC ruling in the wake of the ‘Where’s 25’ Locationless cache debacle, some complex subtractions have had to be performed in order to get a true record of the actual distances covered. So far just four trackables have made the virtual trip to Seattle, and they have been marked in pink/purple on the league table (with their mileage adjusted). If you know how, you could help by deleting the logs of any visits your trackable has made to HQ – unless it’s actually been to HQ, of course! If you’re not sure how, just get in touch.

Anyway, looking at the table, our two long-term leaders are still out ahead, but the chasing pack now has a new member. Pat the draenog has pushed Loads of Miles back into fourth place for now at least, and has Tufty firmly in its sights, although Muzza’s PinPoint Trackable Racer is still the clear leader.

However, as we’re so often fond of saying, there’s still all to play for and a single cache-to-cache hop could effect a radical and decisive change at the top of the leaderboard. Has your tag been stuck somewhere for a while? Has someone held onto it for a little too long? Maybe it’s time for some polite nudging to take place?! Sadly, tags do go missing from time to time, and it looks like that may be the case with a couple of our racers, although we’re very pleasantly surprised by how many are still at large and making their way in the world. Never give up! As we prepare to enter the last third of the race, I wonder how many of them will make an appearance at London Calling next month?
