COUNTDOWN TO THE START OF THE RACE

We are very excited to announce our first trackable race! Join in and you could be a winner. Prizes to be confirmed, but they are likely to include:
- a limited edition PinPoint geocoin
- a free year’s subscription (to new or existing subscribers)
- and more…
Plus, of course, bragging rights! The race begins on 1st September, so hurry up and get your special PinPoint Pursuit Racer Tags pictured below and join in. Rules and entry form below.
How to enter
- Buy one of our special PinPoint Pursuit Racer Tags (pictured above), available until 21st September 2024 from NE Geocaching Supplies.
- Activate it and give it a name, just as you would any other trackable. Start your trackable’s name with ‘PP Racer’ (e.g. PP Racer: The Speedy Squid).
- COMPLETE THE ENTRY FORM BELOW SO WE KNOW YOU’RE IN THE RACE
- Attach a ‘hitchhiker’ of your own choice (keyring, small toy, etc.).
- Place your trackable in a cache or an event no sooner than 1st September 2024 but by 30th September 2024.
- Look out for updates!
Rules
- Trackables must not be placed in their first cache/event before 1st September 2024.
- Late entries are permitted, but you’ll need to start your trackable off by the end of the day on 30th September 2024.
- The winner is the trackable that has travelled the furthest by Mega Day on 2nd August 2025, according to the distance indicated on its page on geocaching.com. (Figures will be taken at 10.00 a.m. BST on 02/08/25.)
- The editors of PinPoint may enter a trackable for fun, but they won’t be eligible for the competition!
- The PinPoint editors’ decision is final.
