PinPoint Pursuit Update, June 2025

With apologies for being late with this month’s update : wow it’s been busy! I don’t know if the arrival of the western hemisphere’s summer has had anything to do with it, but several of our racers have made big journeys this month, on this wagon train to the Severn Mega. Even allowing for virtual excursions to the so-called locationless cache (actually in Seattle!), three tags have clocked up over 10,000 miles since the last update, and many more have travelled at least 1,000! The biggest leap of all, however, comes from Joolswools, which has been taken on a world tour by a US-based cacher, visiting Australia and New Zealand as well as whole swathes of the east coast of America. Despite leaping up to 3rd place, however, it is still just behind Muzza, which in turn is some way behind Chevalier.

This all goes to show just how much things can change in a month, and with only a couple more moons to go, any number of the racers could still be the winner. Ride ’em, cowpeople!

We’re delighted to see that every single trackable has now made a journey of some kind, although 17 of them did not move at all this time around. There are a couple that look like they may be lost in the prairie or permanently stuck in quicksand, but that still feels pretty low compared to the norm.

So buckle up, grab your hats and hold on tight! It’s going to be a wild ride as we round the final bend and head down the home straight with the finishing line in our sights. Yee haw!
